TERMS AND CONDITIONS – MASQUERADE TALENT SUMMIT™

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Masquerade Talent Summit™, a multi day hospitality leadership and career experience organised by Hospitality Leaders Club™ and operated by Between Forks e.U., Vienna, Austria.
By attending, participating as a candidate or employer, hosting a stand or engaging as a sponsor or partner, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms below.
These Terms exist to protect the event, its participants and the integrity of the entire experience.
1. Nature of the Event
The Masquerade Talent Summit™ is a two day hospitality event combining:
• Career discovery
• Speed interviews
• Employer branding
• Leadership inspiration
• Networking spaces
• Stands and activations
• Experiential programming
This event is not:
• A guarantee of employment
• A legal recruitment service
• A formal assessment centre
• A consultancy engagement
• A training programme
Candidates choose where to apply. Employers choose whom to interview.
The organiser has no involvement in hiring decisions.
2. Event Access
Access categories include:
• Attendees
• Candidates
• Employers and HR teams
• Stand holders
• Sponsors and partners
• Speakers and facilitators
• Accredited media only
The organiser may refuse entry to maintain safety, integrity and atmosphere.
3. Registration and Payment
• All ticketed entries require full payment at booking
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe or Eventbrite
• Stands and employer packages require full payment prior to participation
• Confirmation emails serve as proof of registration
Registrations are confirmed only once payment is received.
4. No Refund Policy
All sales are final.
• No refunds
• No partial refunds
• No credits for unused tickets
• No refunds for illness, travel disruptions or personal circumstances
• No refunds for late arrivals or missed interviews
• No refunds for employer hiring outcomes
• No refunds for changes in programme or speakers
If the event is cancelled entirely, participants may choose between:
• A full refund
• A credit for the next edition
5. Event Changes
The organiser may:
• Change the venue within the same city
• Adjust schedules or timings
• Change facilitators or speakers
• Modify interview slots
• Reassign stand locations
• Adjust the programme
• Reschedule the event
If rescheduled to a different month, refunds will be offered upon request.
Minor changes do not entitle participants to refunds.
6. Punctuality
This is a professional event.
• Speed interview slots must be attended on time
• Late arrivals may lose their interview allocation
• Employers must respect their scheduled interview windows
• Candidates who miss interviews will not be rescheduled
• Late entry may be restricted during key programme moments
7. Behaviour and Professional Conduct
Participants agree to maintain:
• Respect
• Professionalism
• Courtesy
• A safe and inclusive atmosphere
Prohibited behaviours include:
• Harassment
• Discrimination
• Intimidation
• Aggressive behaviour
• Inappropriate language
• Bullying
• Drunkenness
The organiser may remove any participant at any time.
No refunds will be issued in such cases.
8. No Sales and No Pitching Policy
The Masquerade Talent Summit™ is not a commercial marketplace.
Participants must not:
• Sell or promote products or services
• Pitch business offers
• Collect leads or contact details for commercial use
• Add attendees to mailing lists without consent
• Distribute brochures or promotional materials
• Recruit for external communities or programmes
• Offer consultations or paid services
• Engage in any behaviour that resembles commercial solicitation
Employers may promote vacancies and employer brand.
Candidates may present themselves professionally.
No other commercial activity is permitted.
Violations may result in immediate removal.
9. Confidentiality in Interviews and Conversations
All speed interviews are private.
Participants must not:
• Record interviews
• Screenshot or film conversations
• Share confidential information heard during the event
• Store or distribute CVs without GDPR compliance
Employers must protect candidate data.
Candidates must respect interviewer and candidate privacy.
10. Candidate Responsibilities
Candidates agree to:
• Provide truthful information
• Submit genuine CVs
• Attend interviews punctually
• Behave professionally at all times
• Follow the organiser’s instructions
• Respect other candidates
• Not pressure or harass employers
• Not block interview areas
Candidates acknowledge:
• There is no guarantee of employment
• Employers choose their own selection criteria
• The organiser is not responsible for outcomes
11. Employer and Stand Holder Responsibilities
Employers and stand holders must:
• Use their allocated space responsibly
• Follow venue and safety rules
• Ensure all materials are safe and compliant
• Treat candidates with respect and professionalism
• Avoid discriminatory practices
• Not record candidates without permission
• Keep CVs secure and GDPR compliant
• Leave stands clean and undamaged
Any damage caused must be compensated.
12. Sponsor Responsibilities
Sponsors must:
• Deliver required materials on time
• Use branding only as permitted
• Not claim endorsement beyond agreed scope
• Follow venue safety and event rules
• Maintain ethical and non discriminatory messaging
• Comply with GDPR regarding any data they receive
Sponsorship fees are non refundable.
13. Photography, Video and Image Rights
The organiser may capture:
• Photos
• Videos
• Audio
• Event footage
By attending the event, participants grant permission for their image to appear in marketing materials.
If someone prefers not to appear in photos, they must inform the organiser upon arrival.
Participants may not:
• Photograph individuals without consent
• Film interviews
• Record private conversations
• Screen record event content
14. Intellectual Property and Protection of Concept
⭐ Definitive, legally strong clause
The entire concept, methodology, structure and written materials of the Masquerade Talent Summit™ are protected under Austrian and European copyright law by virtue of their creation, even if no formal trademark registration has yet been completed.
This includes:
• Event name and derivatives
• Format, structure and flow
• Interview design and methodology
• Leadership and career experience structure
• Timelines, processes and event choreography
• Visual identity and communication tone
• Written content, descriptions and materials
• Any recognisable part of the event
Reproduction, imitation, adaptation or creation of derivative events is strictly prohibited.
15. Non Circumvention and Concept Protection
Participants, recipients of the proposal, venues, employers, partners and collaborators agree not to:
• Reproduce the event independently
• Create a similar event using the same structure
• Adapt the format into their own programmes
• Share the concept with third parties
• Reverse engineer the content or methodology
• Present the concept as their own
• Engage subcontractors to replicate the idea
• Host comparable versions without written permission
Any breach may lead to legal action under Austrian and EU law.
16. Venue Protection Clause
Venues hosting or reviewing the proposal may not:
• Replicate the event
• Produce similar events using the structure
• Recreate the format under another name
• Reproduce the ideas in their own programming
• Share the concept with partners, suppliers or other venues
• Implement any derivative version of the experience
17. Confidentiality of Shared Materials
All proposals, documents, schedules, descriptions and materials shared by Between Forks e.U. are confidential.
They may not be:
• Forwarded
• Copied
• Screenshot
• Reproduced
• Translated
• Shared with third parties
• Used in pitch decks
• Incorporated into external programmes
18. Data Protection (GDPR)
The organiser processes personal data according to Austrian and EU GDPR law.
We:
• Store data securely
• Never sell or trade data
• Use data only for event administration
• Retain data only for legally required periods
Employers must handle CVs in full GDPR compliance.
19. Food, Beverage and Alcohol Policy
If alcohol is served:
• Participants must consume responsibly
• Drunken or disruptive behaviour is not tolerated
• Over intoxicated attendees may be removed
Food allergies must be communicated in advance.
The organiser is not liable for cross contamination.
20. External Groups (WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack)
Participants may create external groups independently.
The organiser:
• Does not control these groups
• Is not responsible for conflicts
• Is not liable for content
• Does not moderate them
Only official channels created by Hospitality Leaders Club™ fall under the organiser’s responsibility.
21. Personal Belongings and Liability
The organiser is not liable for:
• Lost or stolen items
• Accidents or injuries
• Damage to personal items
• Travel delays
• Emotional reactions to conversations
• Hiring decisions made by employers
• Technical issues
Attendees participate at their own risk.
22. Safety and Security
Participants must comply with:
• Venue rules
• Safety instructions
• Evacuation procedures
• Security staff directions
Failure to comply may result in removal.
23. Changes to These Terms
The organiser may update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
24. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Austrian law.
Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Vienna.
