TERMS AND CONDITIONS – HLC SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS & MASTERCLASSES™

These Terms and Conditions apply to all Seminars, Workshops and Masterclasses organised by Hospitality Leaders Club™, operated by Between Forks e.U., Vienna, Austria, whether delivered online or in person.

By registering for or attending a session, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to all terms below.


1. Nature of the Learning Experience

HLC Seminars, Workshops and Masterclasses are designed to deliver:

• Professional learning
• Leadership tools
• Structured guidance
• Practical frameworks
• Inspiration and skill development

These sessions are not:

• Therapy
• Psychological treatment
• Counselling
• Coaching guarantees
• Professional certification programmes
• Legal, financial or HR advisory

Attendees remain fully responsible for their own decisions and wellbeing.


2. Formats Covered

These Terms apply to all learning formats:

• In-person seminars
• In-person workshops
• Masterclasses
• Online sessions (live via Zoom or equivalent)
• Hybrid formats
• Recorded replays (when available)
• Corporate learning events organised by HLC™


3. Booking and Payment

Payments are processed securely via Stripe or Eventbrite.

A booking is confirmed only after:

• Full payment is received
• A confirmation email is issued

Spaces are limited.
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.


4. No Refund Policy

To guarantee fair planning and protect the learning environment:

• All registrations are non-refundable
• No partial refunds
• No credits for unused sessions
• No refunds for illnesses, travel issues or personal circumstances
• No refunds for technical problems on the attendee’s side
• No refunds for late arrivals or no-shows

If the organiser cancels the event entirely, attendees may choose:

• A full refund
• Or a credit for a future session


5. Rescheduling

The organiser may:

• Change the date
• Adjust the time
• Change the venue (within the same city)
• Change the online platform
• Modify the facilitator

If rescheduled:

• Tickets automatically transfer to the new date
• Refunds are only offered if the change is major (e.g. moved to a different month)


6. Attendance and Punctuality

Sessions begin at the stated time.

Attendees agree to:

• Arrive punctually (online or in person)
• Test technology beforehand for online sessions
• Notify the organiser if unable to attend

Late arrivals:

• Disrupt the learning flow
• May be asked to wait for a suitable moment to join
• May result in missing content
• Receive no refund or compensation


7. Behaviour and Participant Conduct

Attendees must:

• Act respectfully
• Avoid interrupting or dominating discussions
• Not behave aggressively or disruptively
• Refrain from discriminatory or inappropriate comments
• Respect the facilitator and the structure
• Follow group guidelines

The organiser may remove any participant whose behaviour:

• Harms the learning environment
• Distracts others
• Violates the Terms
• Creates discomfort or safety concerns

Removal does not entitle the participant to a refund.


8. Confidentiality (Especially for Workshops and Online Sessions)

While not as confidential as Mastermind™ circles, workshops often involve personal or leadership reflections.

Attendees agree to:

• Respect personal stories of others
• Not share private reflections outside the session
• Not record or transcribe conversations
• Not screenshot shared materials or participant images

Confidentiality protects every attendee’s dignity.


9. No Sales, No Pitching and No Lead Generation

These sessions are learning environments, not commercial platforms.

Attendees may:

• Introduce themselves
• Share background professionally

Attendees may not:

• Sell or promote services or products
• Pitch offers
• Collect leads or contact details
• Add participants to mailing lists without consent
• Distribute promotional materials
• Use chat or breakout rooms for commercial solicitation
• Recruit for external programmes or communities
• Offer consultations during or after the session unless invited

Violation results in removal from the session and potential exclusion from future events.


10. Intellectual Property

All content provided by Hospitality Leaders Club™ or Between Forks e.U., including:

• Slides
• Frameworks
• Video sessions
• PDFs
• Exercises
• Tools
• Texts
• Workbooks
• Recordings

is protected by intellectual property law.

Attendees may not:

• Reproduce
• Share
• Publish
• Translate
• Modify
• Sell
• Distribute
• Teach
• Record or replicate

any content without explicit written permission.


11. Recording Policy

To protect privacy and intellectual property:

• Attendees may not record audio or video
• Attendees may not take screenshots
• Attendees may not screen-record online sessions
• Attendees may not photograph slides unless permission is given

If partial replays are offered, access is limited and non-downloadable.


12. Technology Requirements (Online Sessions)

Attendees are responsible for:

• Stable internet connection
• Updated software (Zoom or equivalent)
• Audio and video capability
• Using a quiet and appropriate environment

The organiser is not liable for:

• Loss of connection
• Device issues
• Local technical problems
• Poor audio or video quality from the attendee’s side


13. Data Protection (GDPR)

Between Forks e.U. processes personal data in compliance with Austrian and EU GDPR regulations.

We will:

• Store data securely
• Never sell or share it with third parties
• Use it solely for session administration
• Retain it only as required by law

Attendees may request:

• Access
• Correction
• Deletion (when legally permissible)


14. Photography, Video and Image Use (In-Person Events)

The organiser may take:

• Photos
• Short videos
• Marketing content

By attending, you grant permission for your image to appear in promotional materials.

If you prefer not to appear, inform the organiser before the session begins.


15. External Groups (WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, etc.)

Participants may create external informal groups.

Hospitality Leaders Club™ and Between Forks e.U.:

• Are not responsible for these groups
• Do not monitor them
• Do not resolve conflicts arising there
• Accept no liability for their content

Only official channels created by Hospitality Leaders Club™ are under the organiser’s responsibility.


16. Venue Policies (For In-Person Events)

Attendees must comply with:

• Venue rules
• Staff instructions
• Safety guidelines

Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.


17. Liability

Between Forks e.U. and Hospitality Leaders Club™ are not liable for:

• Emotional reactions to workshop content
• Business or personal decisions made after the session
• Lost or stolen belongings
• Accidents or injuries
• Travel disruptions
• Technical issues
• Cancellations outside our control

Participation is at the attendee’s own risk.


18. Changes to These Terms

The organiser may update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Continued participation implies acceptance of the updated terms.


19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Austrian law.
Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Vienna.
